ABCD Pediatrics is not a walk-in clinic, and an appointment is necessary in order to be seen. The appointment desk opens at 8:00 a.m. each day. To make an appointment please call the office you are typically seen in, then select option 1. If you are not already an established patient, it will be necessary to first complete the registration process.
Due to a high volume of calls at certain peak times of the day, your call will be answered in the order it was received. There are times when the wait time to speak to the appointment desk will be longer, including the first hour of each day, and the first two hours of every Monday.
Information needed to schedule an appointment:
- Whether your child has been seen here before.
- Your child’s full name and date of birth.
- Reason for the visit.
- Which provider you prefer to see.
- Updated insurance information.
Before you hang up please make sure you understand the date and time of the scheduled appointment, which provider you are scheduled to see, and which location your appointment is scheduled for.
Scheduling Well Visits
It is recommended that you schedule well check-ups, growth and development visits, and physicals about 4-6 weeks in advance. Please let us know which provider you would prefer to see and if you have any preferences for appointment days or times. We will do our best to accommodate you. Should we not have an available appointment that suits your needs, ask to be placed on the wait list. Additional well child appointment times are opened from time to time as the schedule demands, and often patients will cancel their pre-scheduled appointments, allowing us to place other patients into these slots. You may also request well visits through the patient portal.
Scheduling Sick Visits
Once you are an established patient, we will do our best to accommodate you with a same-day-sick appointment if appropriate. When you call to make a same-day-sick appointment, if our schedule is full for the day, we may ask that you speak with a nurse to determine how to best meet your child’s needs.
Saturday morning appointments are for urgent care ONLY. These appointments are scheduled at our Stone Oak office only, and generally on a same-day basis. Appointment line opens at 8:00 a.m.
