What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse
What is your favorite children's book?
"Un Beso en mi Mano" (The Kissing Hand) by Audrey Penn. When my kids were little it helped them-- and helped me-- with saying goodbye at drop off time at school.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
Barbies and any pretend play such as making a pretend grocery store out of old cereal boxes and soup cans or recording a pretend radio station on a casette recorder.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
I have been inspired by so many people it is hard to name just one. Michelle Obama has inspired me for a long time due to her wisdom and poise.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Running, reading or listening to audiobooks, watching my children play sports, gardening, playing various Pokemon things, watching tv.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
We have the cutest patients! They constantly brighten up my day, whether its the first time a baby smiles back at you, seeing a child with developmental delays hit a milestone for the first time, or the unexpected funny or bluntly honest things they say. Helping kids stay healthy, whether through prevention or disease treatment is truly rewarding.
