ABCD Pediatrics Management Team
We appreciate the trust you have placed in us to provide your child’s healthcare needs and we are here to help. We will do everything in our power to earn and keep your trust. Healthcare can be very complicated, but by working together as a partnership, together we can provide your child with the best medical care available and give your children the best chance of staying healthy and happy. Whitney Fields, Practice Administrator: Whitney joined ABCD Pediatrics in December 2014 after previously working in Austin, TX for 8.5 years with a pediatric orthopedic surgeons group as the Business Office Manager and Marketing Director. Whitney has a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and as well as her MBA from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi. Whitney is active in the national MGMA (Medical Group Management Association) organization, and is also a member of the Texas MGMA, and local SAMGMA chapter. Whitney brings her years of front office management, medical marketing, and business operations skills to help grow and lead ABCD Pediatrics. Whitney oversees the business operations at all locations, the management team, and works closely with the physicians at all locations to ensure we provide a safe, friendly, and efficient environment in which to provide quality pediatric care.
Monica Estrada, Assistant Practice Administrator: Monica joined ABCD Pediatrics in September 2016 with 20 years of medical practice experience in the orthopaedic and vascular surgery specialties here in San Antonio. Her experience is in the areas of operations and office management, human resources and credentialing. Monica is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Texas Medical Group Management Association (TxMGMA), San Antonio Medical Group Management Association (SAMGMA) where she also served on its board. She is also a member of the Society of Human Resource Management. Her focus on the Administration team is on recruitment and retention of staff that are committed to providing the best care to our patients.
Shameka Moore, Controller: Shameka joined ABCD Pediatrics in February 2018. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Management specializing in Accounting from the University of Maryland University College. Shameka has over 15 years of Accounting and Managerial experience working in the Private, Public, and Non-Public sectors combined. She brings years of experience of Finance and Accounting in Healthcare, Payroll Administration and Revenue Cycle Administration. She’s currently an active member of MGMA (Medical Group Management Association), TX MGMA (Texas Medical Group Management Association) and SAMGMA (San Antonio Medical Group Management Association). Shameka oversees Finance and Accounting at the practice where her primary focus is organizing and maintaining accounting systems along with assisting to ensure that billing and collections efforts of the practice are performed appropriately and efficiently, and recorded properly in the books of the practice.
Amy S. Quirke, CPNP, Clinical Director: Amy joined ABCD Pediatrics in April 2016 with over 25 years of experience as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. She recently retired from the United States Air Force with over 26 years of service. While on active duty, she served as a mid-level provider, flight commander and Deputy Squadron Commander. Amy brings a combination of solid leadership skills from the military and years of nursing knowledge to the position as Clinical Director. She assists ABCD’s clinical teams in writing policies and procedures to maintain effectiveness, efficiency and safety. In addition, Amy lead the charge as ABCD Pediatrics earned Patient Centered Medical Home recognition with NCQA. In addition, Amy also sees patients at each location and leads our specialty clinics, as we focus on our asthma population and healthy lifestyles.
Traci Dixson, Revenue Cycle Manager: Traci joined ABCD Pediatrics in October 2013 with over 30 years experience in medical practice and revenue cycle management after relocating to San Antonio from the Austin area. Her experience ranges from small provider practices to large group and multi-specialty practices with multi-regional locations in Texas. Traci comes to us with strong leadership as her previous experiences include practice administration and operations. Traci oversees the billing and claims operations at the practice where her focus is on great customer service and an efficiently run revenue department.
Erica Hernandez, LVN, Clinical Staff Supervisor: Erica joined ABCD Pediatrics in September 2006 as a Back Office Medical Assistant. She received her Medical Assisting diploma in Dallas in 2002, and had 3 years of previous experience in Dallas before relocating to San Antonio. Erica was promoted to Back Office Team Leader of our satellite office in October 2007. She received her nursing license in 2013 and is currently the Clinical Staff Supervisor for the Schertz and New Braunfels office.
Beth Sotello, Front Office Supervisor- All Locations: Beth joined ABCD Pediatrics in February 2004 and was the Billing Manager from 2005-2010. Beth returned to ABCD in February 2013 as the Schertz/New Braunfels Front Office Supervisor. In addition to her front office knowledge, she has over 20 years of medical billing experience in a variety of specialties. Beth and her front office team will focus on excellent customer service while becoming an outstanding resource for patient care.
Victoria Waltemath, Administrative Coordinator: Victoria is the former ABCD Pediatrics Practice Adminstrator. Victoria grew up in New Orleans, and attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and Georgia State University in Atlanta. She was Director of Operations for Classic Properties, a real estate development, construction, sales, leasing and management organization operating in New Orleans and Atlanta until the real estate bust in the late 1980’s. Upon her relocation to San Antonio, she was the executive assistant to the CEO of Builders Square and then Diagnostic Clinic of San Antonio prior to joining ABCD Pediatrics in March 2000. Victoria is still part of the ABCD Pediatrics management team in a part time capacity as she balances part time retirement.
