Lab and X-Ray Results

During your child’s visits to our office, there may be times when your provider will order a lab test or an X-ray to help them with proper diagnosis and treatment. Results from these diagnostic procedures can take anywhere from 24 hours up to several weeks to be received by our office. The actual amount of time is dependent on several factors, such as the type of test that was ordered, and whether it was ordered on a non-urgent, routine basis, or on an urgent (or STAT) basis.

When our office receives these test or X-ray results, they are directed to your provider for review. Your provider will then give the staff instructions to notify you with the results and give you any follow-up or further instructions that you will need. STAT results should be addressed before the close of the business day, which may be as late as 7:00 p.m., but no later than 24 hours later. Most routine results should be addressed within 48 to 72 hours. If you have not heard from us with STAT results in 24 hours or with routine results in three days, please call the office you are typically seen in and then choose option 3. Please leave the following information: Patient Name, Date of Birth, Phone Number, and description of test result you are looking for.
