What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
Becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner felt like a natural path for me, especially as a parent myself. I have a deep compassion for children and their families, and I find it incredibly meaningful to support them through both challenges and milestones. There is something special about watching children grow and develop, while also seeing parents grow into their role with confidence and strength. I am passionate about promoting health and well-being in my community, and I value the opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact on the lives of families I serve.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I bring a unique blend of clinical experience and compassion that sets me apart as a pediatric provider. My background includes caring for infants in the newborn nursery and mother-baby hospital units, giving me a strong foundation in early childhood care and family support during those critical first days. I also have meaningful experience working with children with ADHD and autism, and I approach each child with patience, understanding, and individualized care. I strive to create a supportive environment where both children and their families feel heard, respected, and empowered.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
I am committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for patients with special needs by tailoring my approach to each child’s unique abilities and preferences. I take time to understand their sensory sensitivities, communication styles, and comfort levels, and I work closely with families to ensure care plans are both effective and practical. Whether that means adjusting the pace of a visit, using clear and simple communication, or incorporating familiar routines, I strive to reduce stress and build trust. My goal is to make every child feel safe, respected, and empowered during their care experience.
