Q&A with Dr. Rosado

What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?

My favorite movie is Space Jam.

What is your favorite children's book?

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory because it was my first fiction book that really let my imagination fly!

What was your favorite childhood toy?

Playing Sonic on my Sega Genesis and I was always the happiest kid with a soccer ball near by.

Who is your greatest inspiration?

My father has been my strongest role model paving my way to be where I am today by emphasizing the importance of perseverance, humility and a genuine calling to serve others.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

I enjoy playing the piano, chess, backyard stargazing with my telescope, and nothing beats a good round of golf!

What inspired you to work in pediatrics?

I chose to go into pediatrics because I am fascinated by the dynamic physiological changes that occur throughout childhood, from infancy to young adulthood. Each stage of development presents unique challenges and learning opportunities, which keeps the field both intellectually stimulating and rewarding. I am also drawn to the role of being an advocate for children, who often cannot fully advocate for themselves, and to support families in navigating their child’s health. Beyond that, there is a genuine joy in working with kids—their energy, honesty, and resilience make each day meaningful and fulfilling.

What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?

What sets me apart is my commitment to listening carefully and valuing parental insight, recognizing that parents know their children best. I make it a priority to create space for their concerns and ensure they feel heard and respected during every visit. I also take pride in being thorough, whether during sick visits or routine wellness exams, to provide comprehensive and thoughtful care. In addition, I approach each interaction with patience and empathy, striving to create a comfortable and trusting environment for both patients and their families. By maintaining strong bedside manner and clear communication, I am able to build positive rapport and foster lasting relationships with those I care for.
